Daps's full names are Dalyop Godwin Gwom, born on 26th of June 1975. He is from a god fearing home and grew up with deep interest and passion for music. Daps is a multi instrumentalist, a Nigerien from a tribe called berom from plateau state, has been influenced by ethnic sounds like the xylophone AND traditional harp and has developed his own style of fusion and unique music called 'xylo-fro'. Daps is also a recorded artiste with about four albums to his credit namely Favor of god, Murna, Rhythm of fear, Celestial worship, Shofar Africa (with Manna Music) and presently working on a new Manna Music cd. 

DAPS is a versatile producer and song writer that has about 4,000 unreleased songs.He also is a master in epic motion picture sound trackS and has produced numerous films among which three have been nominated for African Movie Academy awards (AMAA AWARDS),SITANDA,WHITE WATER AND SYNDY'S NOTE. 
DAPS has produced master piece radio and TV commercials, soap operas and has influenced and produced a lot of international artistes, like Margaret Motsage,(South Africa)GOGO, BOla ADEBISI, RANKING DEEZEED and SHAJAFY and so many others with his XYLO-FRO MUSIC REVOLUTION. His music influence have been artistes like Paul wilbur, Don Moen, ETC. 

He sings and produces reggae, jazz music, rnb and alternative music. DAPS has shared stage with BOB FITS, LIONEL PETERSON, Lenny Le Blank, Donnie McClurkin... He is married to sweet HELEN and blessed with KADDeSH, Kushaiah and Menorah. He has a studio 'xylo-fro ENTERTAINMENT'. HE RUNS A music organization, OYOYO AFRICA GLOBAL INITIATIVE.. and a worship music ministry,THE FLOOD GATES CENTER. 
Daps has a strong spiritual music blending with poetry and deep prophetic dimension to his sounds and lyrics
